What is Coronavirus?
COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus. This new virus and disease were unknown before the outbreak began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019.
How does Coronavirus spread?
COVID-19 can spread from person to person through small droplets from the nose or mouth which are spread when an infected person coughs or exhales. Other people then catch the virus by touching the objects or surfaces these droplets have landed on by or inhaling these droplets.
What are the Symptoms of Coronavirus?
The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, tiredness, and dry cough. Some patients may have aches and pains, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat or diarrhea.
What is the source of Coronavirus?
COVID-19 's source is unknown, but all available evidence suggests that it has a natural origin and is not a constructed virus. It most likely has an ecological resvoir in bats.
Should I wear a mask because of Coronavirus?
Only wear a mask if you are ill with COVID-19 symptoms or looking after someone who may have COVID-19. A Disposable face mask can only be used once. If you are not ill or looking after someone who is ill then you are wasting a mask.
How long can Coronavirus survive on surfaces?
It is uncertain how long COVID-19 survives on surfaces, but studies suggest that it can last from a few hours to a few days based on various conditions. If a surface may be infected, you should clean it with a disinfectant.
